US DOT regulations (49 CFR 173.412) require that each Type A package have a tamper-evident security seal. The purpose of the seal is to provide evidence that the package has not been opened while in transit. All shipping cases are required to be sealed every time a gauge is transported on a public highway (i.e. case should be sealed when being transported from the storage location to the job site and should be resealed when transporting from the job site back to the storage location). While locking the case is still advisable, it does not meet the requirement of a tamper-evident seal according to US DOT interpretation. |

Troxler's new Tamper-Evident Security Seals are easy
to use (no tools required to put on the case), and they are serialized. |
