Job Summary
The Jr. Embedded Software Engineer is an entry level position and is responsible for participating in the design, development and maintenance of real-time micro-controller systems for test and measurement equipment. The position works with cross functional teams to create, support and improve cost effective, fully functional systems. Engineering interests should include hardware and software design and development for micro-controller based real-time embedded systems. C language is a must and familiarity with the ARM 7, PLC architecture is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate software for embedded systems with low latency and high throughput including their interaction with laboratory equipment.
- Work on cross functional teams to develop prototypes and new products, or to redesign legacy products.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on cost control, reliability and manufacturability of products.
- Document overall program and data architectures, software release and changes.
- Develop and design large portion of software independently and rapidly.
Prerequisite Skills and Education
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience, with major focus in analog and digital real-time embedded systems development.
- Knowledge of both real-time computer operating systems and computer communication protocols.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C or C++.
- National Instruments software, Embedded LabView, and Matlab knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of I/O communication protocol, RS232, USB, WiFi, UART.
- Experience with version control software such as Visual Source Safe, GIT, and Subversion.
- Experience with PC based software, Excel Macro and Visual Basic.
- Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills.

Junior mechanical Engineer

This is an entry-level position that will provide engineering design, maintenance, and technical support to the manufacturing and product development areas. Duties and Responsibilities

Field Service & Repair Calibration Technician

Job Summary
The Service and Repair Calibration Technician reports to the Service Manager or Branch Office Lead and is responsible for troubleshooting repairing and installing all Troxler and competitor equipment both in-house and at customer sites. Field travel requirements are up to 90%. Troubleshoot and repair to board level and limited component level repair when required. Service, calibrate and repair electro-mechanical equipment. Interface with customers in person, in writing, and on the phone.

- Perform repairs and calibrations on various nuclear and non-nuclear precision measuring devices.
- Meets turnaround and overall service goals.
- Works with team leaders to ensure the key measures are being achieved.

Junior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary
The Junior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, testing, calibrating and repairing electronic systems and components. Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment including, but not limited to, printed circuit boards, power supplies, all Troxler products and test equipment to meet uptime, yield, cost and productivity.
- Reviews standards, specifications, task statements, engineering drawings and other documentation, using standard procedures, to determine engineering requirements.
- Reviews and approves routine technical documentation, including engineering plans, test procedures, installation design plans and related technical reports in accordance with established standards to ensure compliance with system and subsystem performance requirements.
- Prepares reports and documentation delineating task, analysis and design, test results and recommendations for further effort.
- Establishes simple test plans and guides technicians in the collection of test data in a form suitable for analysis.
- Analyzes data; compares data against specified and computed values, and suggests changes and improvements where needed.
- Investigates casualties or failures of simple electronic equipment or systems. Documents findings and recommends solutions to problems and/or procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Guides and assists electronic technicians in fabrication and installation of simple electronic equipment and routine systems. May direct field operation and maintenance activities of electronic installations.
- Assists engineering personnel in the design of portions of electrical and electronics system or performs design on smaller systems to meet deadlines, cost and performance. Provides input to design to teams to improve function, manufacturability and reduce cost.
- Assists in Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Manufacturer Change Order (AMCO) processes, and Bills of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance. Interfaces with all related departments.
- Seeks and documents ideas for improvement that could help in cost saving, making jobs safer and increase productivity.
- Continues to be informed and knowledgeable of the most recent advancements in software and hardware related to the engineering field.

- Lead the implementation of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Design, develop, test and/or source, and cost-justify tools and tooling, and training.
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency in a low volume, high mix product environment.
- Develop metrics and monitor manufacturing operations performance to those metrics.
- Ensure that environmental, health and safety concerns meet or exceed acceptable criteria in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines as well as federal and state regulations.

- Ability to establish, monitor and analyze department metrics.
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to use lean and six sigma methods to lead productivity improvements, cost reductions, and process improvements.
- Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, extensive machine shop and quality systems knowledge.

Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Rep

Job Summary
The Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative reports to the Sales Manager with a dotted line to the Business Services Manager and the Manager of Customer Services. The Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative will be the first point of contact for domestic customers for the Troxler organization. This person will receive, investigate, respond to, and follow up on all customer inquiries regarding orders/shipments, products, training, service, documentation and complaints. The Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative will actively process customers’ orders/quotes, training registrations, activity logs and other relevant information. The Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for engaging in Inside Sales responsibilities. The Customer Advocate/Inside Sales Representative will spend approximately 70% on Customer Service duties and 30% on Inside Sales duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiates proactive outbound telemarketing calls daily to obtain new business via past and new customers, using a furnished list of telephone numbers and an established script to qualify leads and to provide product information.
- Meets yearly sales growth goals agreed upon annually with the Sales Manager.
- Handles customer inquiries (phone, FAX and email) originating from both domestic and international customers and ensures calls are processed in strict adherence to established policy. Secures data such as names, addresses, and phone numbers for future sales/service reference.
- Coordinates with other departments and customers for the processing of orders, including order entry, shipment (costs methods, time, documentation, forms, etc) and customer feedback of orders, and follow up/feedback in response to queries and solicitation of further sales.
- Develops and maintains service knowledge on all products, providing product support to customers when necessary.
- Processes and handles inquiries related to service and repair administration (leak test issues, radiation forms, RMAs, repair status, etc.).
- Processes and handles inquiries related to Training (costs, classes, schedule, directions, etc.).
- Implements and follows a comprehensive process for measuring activity levels and performance metrics.
- Assists outside sales team in tasks to increase sales to include development and delivery of customer quotations (including pricing, lead-times and quote follow-up), current promotions, new products, product upgrades, communication of client expectations and follow-up on leads.
- Provide back-up support to Technical Support staff as needed for customer interface, basic problem resolution and call escalation.
- Coordinate with Accounting staff the credit interface between Troxler and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Prerequisite Skills and Education

- High school diploma (or related experience) and 3-12 months of direct customer relationship experience in a technical equipment field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
